This group is called the FULLBLOODS, for obvious reasons. I mean, we are aren’t we? They are made up of 3 very good musicians from the Kansas City area. This was tracked Live in BRC studios live room of studio A a few weeks ago. The centered guitar you hear “droning” in the verses was tracked with an SM57, guitar left was done with the same. Guitar right was done with a Cascade Fat Head ribbon mic. Both were run through the Great River pre- amp. Bass was tracked DI through a Langevin Dual Voice Combo and was compressed using the slightly rude compressor. Vocals were tracked with a TLM 103 through through an Amek 9098 pre. The final stereo master mix was run through a Manly Variable Mu compressor/limiter that added a lot of “Body” to the mix. There was also a Waves gold multi-band compressor used to tighten up the low end. Frequencies below 120 were compressed in order to make this happen.
