C48 Overheads

Usually not a great idea due to lack of transient response, but there was room for it in this mix.
This is overheads only, positioned so snare was center
Recorded with a Gretsch Catalina Club kit:
- 14″×18″ kick with coated Remo batter head.
- 14" Brass Tama Starclassic with Aquarian Modern Vintage head
- 14" Zildjan CIE Vintage hats.
- 21" Zildjan Sweet Ride.
- Tambourine was mounted on the hi hat stand.
Large diaphragm Multi Condenser
Set as a spaced pair, angled outward a little, about 4.5’ above snare.
Agreed on the transient response, but could serve as a really nice set of room mikes. They’re so smooth, natural, and warm sounding!
